Ardbeg Corryvreckan (bottled in Jan 2021)

This goes into the “Can’t really say if I like it or not” category. A really shy Ardbeg I must say and that’s rather irritating.

Nose: Greeted by a grassy, vegetative smell. Followed by signature peaty note, charcoal smoke, seaside briny breeze and fishy smell. Medical note like gauze and disinfectant. Accompany by roasted nut, custard, cocoa.

Palate: Salty, bittersweet, rather oily. Peaty, charcoal smoke, sesame, cherry syrup and green plum.

Aftertaste: Long finish, almond, charcoal burning, cigarettes like fume, peaty, bitter.

Cheers!
